A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Shiraz grown at Williamstown in the Barossa Valley. After fermenting in open fermenters as separate parcels of fruit, each wine was transferred to 100% pre-used French oak hogsheads and aged for 12 months before bottling without filtering or fining.
The wine is deep red purple with aromas of cherry and strawberry from the Grenache component. The Shiraz contributes a firm tannin finish to the structure along with palate length. A great wine with food.
